The history of wooden kitchen utensils over many centuries

    September 2, 2017

No one can say for sure when the first cutting board was made and who invented it.

In the Stone Age a cutting board was simply a big stone where food was prepared. It is unlikely that these boards were convenient and easy to use.

After some time, a cutting board made of wood became one of the most popular items in the kitchen. Nowadays it’s difficult to imagine a modern kitchen without a chopping board.

Chopping boards are used for cutting products; there are also boards for serving, which are mostly used in restaurants.

Manufacturers produce a great variety of cutting boards, from traditional wooden rectangular boards to glass-ceramic boards and boards made of stone.
